Anthropic, a leading AI research company, has reportedly secured around $1 billion in funding from Google, bringing Google’s total investment in the company to approximately $3 billion. Google invested $1 billion in a recent round, following its $2 billion contribution in late 2024. Anthropic is currently raising an additional $2 billion from investors like Lightspeed at a valuation of $60 billion.

Anthropic’s CEO, Dario Amodei, outlined plans to launch new AI models, and introduce “two-way” voice chat and web access to its chatbot, Claude.
